Job Title: X-Ray Technician - 1199 Union Position

Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality radiographs on all patients, including In-Patients, Emergency Room Patients, or Private Outpatients. Ensure the use of lead shielding when appropriate, following departmental policies.Transport patients to and from X-Ray rooms as needed.Assist the Radiologist with hard-to-move patients upon request.Utilize all permitted X-ray equipment within the scope of licensure and training.Effectively use the hospital computer system for job responsibilities following hospital policy.Deliver assessment, treatment, and patient care with consideration of patient growth and development.Provide excellent customer service with respect, flexibility, knowledge, professionalism, and patience. Respond to inquiries in a timely, caring, and respectful manner.Maintain compliance with departmental policies, procedures, quality assurance programs, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.Develop X-rays as required, ensuring patient comfort.Complete necessary clerical work to maintain patient records.Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in Radiology Room, Radiology Equipment, and Radiology Accessories.Notify appropriate personnel of equipment in need of repair.Qualifications:
Completion of an approved course of study.Minimum of one (1) year of experience as an X-Ray Technician.New York State License as an X-Ray Technician (Legally Required).Completion of an approved course of study in Radiology/X-Ray.Computer literate.Benefits (Through the 1199 Union):
