Position: X-Ray Technician
Location: Manhattan, NY 10024
Duration: 3+ Months contract (Strong possibility of extension)
Pay Range: $56-$60/hr.
License/Certification:
- N.Y. State Dept. of Health Licensed Radiologic Technologist
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT Certified)
Skills:
- X-Ray Technologist operates or oversees operation of radiologic and magnetic imaging equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes
- Responsible for preparing the patient for radiological procedures and adhering to safety measures to ensure compliance with regulations and the safety of patients and staff.
- Prepares patient for radiological procedure by positioning patient; adjusting immobilization devices; moving equipment into specified position; adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors.
- Maintains production and quality of radiographs by following established standards and procedures; processing radiographs; observing radiographic results; making necessary adjustments.
