Job Description:

** Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster/Senior Workers' Compensation Adjuster**

74572 Zurich is currently seeking an experienced Workers Compensation professional to join our claims team.

You will manage a workers compensation claims caseload that consists primarilyof lost time claims. You will own your assigned claims from end to end, resolving claims according to best practices and within authority limits. You may be aligned to specific accounts.

Additional accountabilities may include:

* select and partner with vendors and hold them accountable to service level agreements

* collaborate with a variety of internal and external contacts which include customers, attorneys, vendors, suppliers and brokers

* manage communications throughout the claim cycle

* negotiate and resolve claims cases independently

* provide individual results and contributions in support of Claims strategy and goals

You will be an ambassador for workers compensation claims, the Claims organization and Zurich North America, delivering the highest standards of claims service excellence and best practices, and effectively developing partnerships with key customers, brokers and other internal and external stakeholders that are critical to the success of the claim lifecycle.

This position can be located in one of the following office locations: Philadelphia, Parsippany, or Boston.

Occasional business travel may be required.

*The hiring manager will determine the appropriate position level based upon the selected applicants experience and skill set relative to the qualifications indicated:*

WC Specialist II

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelors Degree and 4 or more years of experience in Claims Handling or Insurance area that includes PA and/or VA workers compensation claims

OR

* High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more years of experience in Claims Handling or Insurance area that includes PA and/or VA workers compensation claims

OR

* Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree with 4 or more years of experience in Claims Handling or Insurance area that includes PA and/or VA workers compensation claims

AND

* Must obtain and maintain required adjuster license(s)

* Microsoft Office experience

Preferred Qualifications:

* 4 or more years of experience in Workers Compensation claims handling including the state(s) of Pennsylvania, Virginia, & Delaware

* Analytical skills

* Negotiation skills

* Strong verbal and written communication skills

* Experience collaborating across work groups

* Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills

* Juris Doctor (J.D.)

Senior WC Adjuster

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelors Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Claims and Litigation area that includes PA and/or VA workers compensation claims

OR

* High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Claims and Litigation area that includes PA and/or VA workers compensation claims

OR

* Zurich Certified Insurance Apprenticeship program including an Associates Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Claims Handling area that includes PA and/or VA workers compensation claims

AND

* Must obtain and retain required adjuster license(s)

* Microsoft Office experience

Preferred Qualifications:

* 5 or more years of workers compensation claims handling experience in PA and/or VA

* Analytical skills

* Ability to multi-task and adapt to a changing environment

* Experience working in a collaborative team environment and across work groups

* Juris Doctor (J.D.)
