Scotch & Soda is seeking an ambitious omnichannel buyer with experience managing multiple categories and channels for the company's North American business. Focusing on both e-commerce and retail, you will lead assortment planning & selection, inventory management, forecasting, and other strategic buying initiatives for a growing European fashion brand in North America. Reporting into the Director of Buying, Planning, and Allocation, this role will serve as a strategic leader in helping build a country-specific assortment and advocate for the needs of the North American market to the central headquarters in Europe.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

- In partnership with the Director of Buying, set buying strategy for our full price retail and Ecommerce channel to realize brand goals and objectives in the North American Market.

- Buying accountability for Retail and Ecommerce, specifically focused on women's apparel and footwear business.

- Partner with the planning team regarding buying strategy and ensuring financial viability and excellence in execution.

- Assort the line seasonally (4x/year), working with central merchandising in Europe to develop an assortment that is both commercially viable for the North American market while simultaneously representing the Scotch & Soda global aesthetic.

- Focus on future of business by identifying market trends, assortment opportunities, and understanding the Scotch and Soda customer.

- Complete the buy post market; product selection and assortment, while managing the sku and merchandise plan and meeting financial objectives.

- Synthesize feedback from wholesale, visual merchandising, retail stores, marketing, and central merchandising to make sure multiple perspectives and viewpoints are considered when building the assortment.

- Advocate for the North American market through ensuring all product needs are met, submitting special product requests as well as qualitative and quantitative analysis on the central line and local competition.

- Collaborate with stores, planning, and visual to make sure key investments are pushed in store, and that slow-selling styles are addressed both online and in brick-and-mortar retail.

- Strategize key items, promotions and mark downs with planning and retail team.

- Work in close partnership with planning, visual merchandising, and retail team to manage in-season business performance, as well as coordinate in advance for each seasonal delivery.

- Liaise with supply chain, as well as planning to ensure availability and the timely delivery of merchandise.

- Work closely with VP of Retail and Area Managers to dig into each region and store's business, identifying business opportunities and strategies to maximize business performance as well as gain a deeper know knowledge of customer needs within each region.

- Manage data in order to prepare selling hindsight's on weekly, monthly, quarterly, seasonal basis in order to help identify business opportunities.

- Proven ability to analyze data and convey a story, complete with actionable and business-driving decisions

- Develop new and innovative ways to look at sales, inventory, margin, and markdowns, with a proactive eye towards future opportunities. **Profile**

- Minimum of 3-5 years of Buying experience with a retail fashion brand. Omnichannel experience is a plus

- Pivot Tables, SUMIFs, VLOOKUPs, etc)

- Strong analytical, retail math skills and Excel skills (Pivot Tables, SUMIFs, VLOOKUPs, etc)

- Ability to work autonomously and independently build reports and other buying tools

- Knowledge of trends in the current market.

- A critical thinker who drives solutions.

- Clear, concise written, verbal and presentation skills - be able to not just analyze but also tell the story behind the numbers

- Prioritization and optimization skills needed to focus on the bigger picture to deliver results for the company's sales targets

- Flexible team player, ability to work collaboratively across all departments. Build and maintain relationships with internal cross-functional teams in both the US and Europe
