With 21 acres of cold-hardy grapes, we are looking for a Winery Operations Manager who understands all the intricacies behind the making of a successful winery. Must possesses excellent and proven skills in both vineyard management and winemaking expertise. Main responsibilities include overseeing the vineyard and its health, potentially developing 5 more acres per year and guiding our winemaking team and support staff. The candidate must possess a keen technical knowledge with the ability to ensure a successful harvest, utilize and maintain a detailed vineyard management program to include nutrient management, spraying, cordon training, irrigation plans and more. Must possess a major attention to detail and motivational work ethic from start to finish, as well as an understanding of revenue goals.
The ideal candidate should have knowledge & experience with the varietals we grow including Marquette, Petite Pearl, La Crescent, St. Croix, Frontenac, etc. We would like to find someone who will grow with us through the years as we embark on putting the Champlain Valley of NY AVA on the map.
