The Watch Technician's key areas of responsibility include the authentication, diagnostics, and repair of quartz. This position will authenticate and service watches within our e-commerce centers and communication across multiple internal teams to execute a seamless consignor experience and a frictionless production pipeline.
What You Get To Do Every Day
* Identify all quartz watches (watch brand, watch model, movement brand, movement model)
* Open and close all types of watch cases without damaging them
* Diagnose quartz movement issues
* Change batteries and gaskets
* Replace coils/circuits in quartz movements
* Replace complete quartz movements
* Calibrate chronograph and other complication indicators to original factory settings in quartz watches
* Perform pressure test on all watch types
* Perform timing measurements on all watch types
* Demagnetize all watch types
* Authenticate quartz watches across all brands
* Clean external components of all non-leather-strap watches (case, crystal, bracelet) using appropriate method, including ultrasonic solution/machine and steamer
* Perform any additional daily tasks as directed by supervisor
What You Bring To The Role
Minimum Requirements
* 3-5 years of experience servicing quartz timepieces
* Excellent hand-eye coordination
* Perfect vision (natural or corrected)
* Ability to execute on communication systems
* Adept at working with, and open to learning new technology solutions to increase productivity and efficiency
* Polished in verbal and written communication
* Ability to handle multiple complex, time sensitive situations
* Understanding of daily quotas, deadlines
* Ability to work within specific process constraints
Preferred Requirements
* Brand certification from major watch brand
* Disassembling and overhauling mechanical/automatic movements
* Polishing cases and bracelets

The expected hourly rate for this role is $24.00 - $24.00. To determine starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate's skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. Additionally, salary is just one component of TRR's total rewards package. Depending on role, employees may also be eligible for a bonus program, incentive pay and benefits.
