Job DescriptionUnder direct supervision, performs routine security inspections of buildings and grounds to protect against trespassers and property damage and/or loss. Performs related work as required.
- At assigned building entry points, check all entrants for ID Cards, visitors or vendors passes, may also issue passes.
- Watches for occurrences, such as fire, leaks from water or steam lines, or any cause which might endanger or result in loss of, or damage to property.
- Conducts building and grounds patrol
- Answers telephone and assigned police radio to call for assistance, if necessary
- Performs related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications1. A valid New York State Security Guard registration card issued by the Department of State; and2. Satisfactory completion of a 16-hour On-the-Job Training (OJT) course within 90 days of employment.
