Job Summary

Langan is seeking a Wastewater Practice Leader to join its collaborative team in out of its White Plains, Parsippany, Princeton, Doylestown, Philadelphia, or Arlington office. This individual will serve a key function in leading and supporting design and permitting efforts for a variety of wastewater distribution systems, wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations and wastewater master plans. In this role, you will have the opportunity to partner with top industry leadership in fueling the growth of a multi-disciplinary practice.

Job Responsibilities

* Lead the design and permitting of wastewater components for residential, institutional, commercial centers, warehouse distribution centers, and mixed-use projects for both public and private clients;

* Integrate Langan's multi-disciplinary services including geotechnical and environmental engineering into project portfolio;

* Partner closely with office leadership to develop growth plans and ensure staff utilization;

* Lead and motivate a team to achieve goals and objectives;

* Drive Business Development activities by developing new clients for the firm and maintaining relationships with existing clients; and

* Performing other duties as requested.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required;

* Possess a valid Professional Engineer license;

* Possess 10+ years of related civil engineering experience with a concentration in wastewater distribution systems, pump station design and wastewater treatment plant design;

* Strong client development and client management abilities;

* Expertise in wastewater design, hydraulic analysis and design;

* Experience in technical and proposal writing. Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities;

* Understanding of AutoCAD or Civil 3D;

* Active participation in professional organizations;

* Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment, and to mentor staff engineers;

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

* Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities; and

* Possess reliable transportation for client meetings and job site visits and a valid driver's license in good standing.

Base Salary Range: $125,000 - $166,000. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, market conditions, education/training, certifications and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills. This position is also eligible for straight-time overtime and participation in the firm's annual bonus and performance review program. Bonuses are discretionary and based on individual job performance and the profitability of the firm.
