New York Disaster Interfaith Services (NYDIS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit faith-based federation of faith communities, human services providers and charitable organizations who work in partnership to provide disaster readiness, response, and recovery services to New York City. NYDIS affiliate, the NYC Emergency Shelter Network (ESN) coordinates and builds the capacity of congregation-based street homeless shelter services and advocacy as well as Asylum-Seeker shelters and service centers along with homeless mitigation initiatives. NYDIS currently has a $40M annual operating budget and up to 75 employees.
The Warehouse & Inventory Manager plays a crucial role in the smooth and safe management and operation of our warehouse, located in Industry City in Brooklyn from which shelter supplies, clothing and disaster response equipment are distributed across the five boroughs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory and distribution management, staff supervision experience, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for making a difference in the community. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can effectively coordinate the receiving, storage, and distribution of shelter supplies and clothing donations to over 50 shelter and operations sites. The Warehouse & Inventory Manager will report directly to NYDIS Director of Operations and will work onsite at our Brooklyn Warehouse. Saturday or Sunday hours will be required in addition to 4 weekdays - days and evenings.
