VP of Wholesale Planning and Sales
Job Description:
Creates overall commercial strategy for Rebecca Minkoff for global wholesale and leads Sales team.
Drives business performance against sales and margin targets; maximizes in season opportunities and continuously
monitors inventory across all channels and regions.
Owns pricing, promotion and mark down decisions; facilitates across all channels to make best decisions
for the overall business balancing short and long term objectives.
Develops seasonal SKU targets by attributes and works with team to edit line seasonally to ensure all commercial needs
are covered
Reports to to CEO and works on growth strategies, new initiatives and business optimization strategies
Evaluates new business opportunities
Recruit, mentor, develop a growing team of planners and sales people.
Collaborate and work cross functionally with SVP of Operations, SVP of Production, VP of
Digital, Creative Director, Director of Photo Studio, Director of Marketing / PR, and
Director of Product Development.
Wholesale Sales
Manage and mentor wholesale sales team to achieve annual sales and margin targets
Manages all negotiations with retailers to ensure optimization of overall business
Identify new business opportunities globally to increase Rebecca Minkoff s market share
Works closely with SVP of operations to own, manage and execute order book to deliver monthly shipping targets
Assist in launching new categories, Footwear, Jewelry, Belts, etc.
Creates and manages dept budgets for Co-op, RTVs and MDA
Planning
Build annual plans based on current market and sales trends; wholesale monthly shipping and margin plans
Manages total company inventory and allocations across channels and customers to optimize inventory
productivity and sales opportunity.
Collaborates with production to give quarterly unit targets, passes all production orders, and troubleshoots
any issues with hitting customer ship windows
Manages total lifecycle of products from full price, markdown to off price
Requirements:
Bachelors and or Masters Degree in Business / Finance
Strong communication and presentation skills
Exceptional Financial planning and analysis, review financial data
Exceptional Excel skills
Strong negotiation skills
Entrepreneurial mindset
Strong Leadership skills to lead a team of 5
