Our client is a large, well-established real estate company that spans the country. They are currently seeking a Senior GSE/Agency Multifamily Underwriter to join their team in NYC, Atlanta, Boston, Los Angeles, Dallas or Miami.

**This role is mostly in-office at first. Over time, hybrid (up to 1-2 days at home) can happen. Depending on seniority & fit.
The incumbent will operate as a player/coach - underwriting complex multifamily transactions in compliance with Fannie/Freddie (agency) guidelines within large/growing portfolio, while also assisting with other less seasoned underwriting staff and ensuring efficiency/accuracy. The incumbent will work closely with the origination and senior credit team on all deals.
Ideally seeking 6+ years of experience underwriting conventional Fannie/Freddie Agency/GSE sponsored multifamily CRE deals
Duties include:
Analyze, interpret, and underwrite complex multifamily real estate transactions in compliance with respective agency guidelines (Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac)
Conduct detailed economic and demographic research to determine feasibility of transactions
Prepare and present comprehensive loan approval package to credit committee
Develop and maintain strong relationships with origination and closing departments and external agency investors
Conduct comprehensive inspections of physical real-estate assets on an as-needed basis
