ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: List all essential job duties. VOCATIONAL SPECIALIST DUTIES1. Perform intake assessments and develop vocational and educational plans for all consumers.2. Facilitate the implementation of vocational and educational plans for each consumer through individual counseling and group dynamics.3. Provide vocational and educational resources to consumers from within ICL's Vocational Services Department and/or from within the general community.4. Act as liaison to VESID and make use of an electronic application process as well as providing follow-through.5. Facilitate work readiness training groups and facilitates cognitive remediation groups.6. Work to identify and establish job sites and assist in placing individuals in selected job sites.7. Work to ensure that consumers learn assigned job skills and sustain employment for prolonged periods.8. Attend regularly scheduled meetings and act as liaison in residential staff meetings.9. Maintain files on all vocational, educational and related documents in an organized and timely manner.ACTIVITIES SPECIALIST DUTIES:1. Organizes and conducts social/recreational/cultural activities.2. Develops a comprehensive activity/recreation plan for all residents3. Develops community contacts and resources to support social/recreational/cultural activities.4. Provides individualized skill assessment, instruction, and supervision.5. Accompanies, supervises, and provides transportation for activities.6. Assists staff in planning activities for clients and in engaging client in activities.7. Helps clients locate resources in the community to support social skill development and social/recreational/cultural needs.8. Co-lead activity, skill development, and support groups, as appropriate.9. Facilitate a variety of in-residence activities, such as wellness activities (KEY) tutoring, movie night, games, etc.10. Assist with facilitation of cognitive remediation activities as needed.11. Promote client self-advocacy and empowerment.12. Encourage community integration by assisting clients in finding opportunities of interest to them.13. Encourage community integration by supporting clients' interaction with the non-mental health world.14. Promote cultural sensitivity among staff and clients.15. Participates in Team Meetings and interfaces with staff.16. Provide crisis management and problem-solving assistance to clients and staff17. Ensures the maintenance and submission of timely and accurate clinical and administrative records, including statistical reports required by regulatory agencies.18. Assists in the development and support of client-led activities19. Assists in the development of schedules.20. MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher learningand a minimum of 2 years' experience providing direct services to individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorder.Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's degree in a human services field, and experience as a job coach, employment specialist, wellness coach, or related.
