Salary: $60,000-$70,000

Job Summary

The Visual District Manager will ensure the implementation of visual initiatives directed by Winston and the retailer in apparel and accessories is being executed consistently across all locations. Each store location has a Lead whom this role manages and will be reporting daily store visit reports and photos of work executed. Along with regular travel, this role is required to report to the New York Office 2x per week.

Responsibilities:

Job Duties

Lead and manage a regular schedule of store teams and visitations to inspire, coach, and develop the team members in delivering the best store experience and supporting a client-centric environment.

  • Promotes a culture and sets the pace of excellent visual standards to drive the consumer experience.
  • Lead by example by effectively demonstrating the clients merchandising directives to in-store talent.
  • Provide ongoing visual merchandising training for the teams to create a bench of talent.
  • Support the regional management retail team by providing feedback on the implementation of visual merchandising directives.
  • Implement visual merchandising tests using client direction and providing feedback.
  • Ensure operational excellence of policies and procedures.
  • Drive monthly summaries of work completed to present to management with suggestions for evolving change as necessary.
  • Continue to elevate the customer journey for apparel and accessories by constantly looking for opportunities.
  • Use excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Prepare stores for senior management visits by partnering with the regional management retail team to ensure the store team is poised to represent Winston and the location is merchandised to standard.
  • Provide suggestions that will affect sales and identify consumer traffic patterns.
  • Attends weekly or as-needed touch-base calls with Winston and client management.
  • Supports a team of Field Visual Managers by providing direction and feedback on a regular basis.
  • Regularly visit each assigned store to meet with Winston Lead Merchandisers and evaluate the work being performed.

Work in tandem with the Regional Management Retail team to lead and develop a field team that continually represents the Winston brand to the highest degree.

  • Provide regular feedback to the management team regarding the visual performance of the field team.
  • Collaborate with management to develop and deliver coaching relevant to the clients directive.
  • Work as a liaison between the client and regional management to continually boost performance of the field team using feedback from the client.
  • Report back to the client regarding any changes or updates that the client may need to be aware of.

  • Able to travel up to 15 days a month planned weeks out for store visits Monday - Friday
  • Intermediate computer skills (Excel, Word, and email), able to use wi-fi.
  • Willing to learn new proprietary systems of Winston
  • Able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
