You will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with various aspects of our workers' compensation, employment practices liability, and corporate insurance operations, ensuring the company's long-term sustainability and compliance with industry regulations. This leadership position requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in risk management. Your Success ProfileWhat You Will Work On
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the teams to assess and understand customer-specific workers' compensation, employment practices liability (EPL), corporate and financial related risks. Advise customers on risk mitigation strategies and best practices. And ensure the implementation of risk management measures tailored to individual customer needs.
  • Develop and implement a broad insurance risk management strategy aligned with the company's overall objectives. Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential risks relevant to our customers and industry dynamics.
  • Stay abreast of industry regulations and ensure the company's compliance with relevant laws and standards. Develop and maintain policies and procedures that align with regulatory requirements. Serve as a subject matter expert on regulatory matters related to PEO operations.
  • Oversee the development and management of insurance programs to adequately cover identified risks. Includes underwriting strategy, policy structure and applicable limits of, General Liability, Workers' Compensation, Employment Practices Liability (EPL), Property, Fiduciary Liability, Foreign, Cyber, and General Liability.
  • Establish and maintain efficient claims management and reporting processes, working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners. Analyze claim trends and patterns to identify areas for improvement and risk reduction. Collaborate with legal counsel in the resolution of complex claims.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance risk awareness among customers and members. Foster a culture of risk management and compliance throughout the organization.
  • Utilize data analytics to identify trends and potential areas of risk exposure. Prepare and present regular reports to executive leadership on the status of risk management initiatives.
  • Participate in a firm-wide enterprise risk management committee, including regular risk assessments and scenario planning.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in risk management, with at least 10 years of experience leading a team.
  • In-depth experience with workers' compensation, employment practices liability, and common corporate insurance lines.
  • In-depth knowledge of PEO operations, industry regulations, and risk management best practices.
  • Strong commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and strategic thinking skills.
  • Expertise in designing and setting up the underwriting policy and monitoring compliance.
  • Professional certifications/designations such as Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Certified Risk Manager (CRM), or Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) are a plus.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience within a Professional Employer Organization (PEO), Temporary Staffing, or other similar industry
The base wage range for this position based in our New York City Office is targeted at $280,000.00 to $305,000.00 per year.#LI-Hybrid#LI-SP1Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, and specific work location. Salary ranges for positions based in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
