Mason Alexander is running a search to hire a VP for a newly formed Private Credit fund in New York. This will be an excellent opportunity to join a global organisation who have recently stepped in to the Private Credit space.
The role:
- Lead deal teams in the underwriting of private credit investment opportunities (with a focus on sponsor backed senior cash flow / unitranche loans) including diligence, credit memo preparation, legal documentation/negotiation, and investment committee presentation
- Coordinate analysis with our loan only/private credit research analysts to provide industry and market comp context for each transaction
- Be able to effectively manage deal teams through all parts of the underwriting process from initial review to final approval and performance monitoring, while covering multiple transactions and portfolio companies at the same time
- As our private credit platform continues to scale, cover US private equity sponsors and other sources of deal flow and develop meaningful relationships across the market over time
The person:
- 8 + years experience in a private credit fun currently working at a VP level
- Excellent modeling, analytical and research skills
- Exemplary history of loan performance
- Strong team building skills, desire and ability to train and mentor Associates
- Excellent quantitative, communication, and investment management skills
The base salary for this position is c. $300k. There will be a total compensation package included in this position such as discretionary performance bonus, carry and benefits.
