Veterinary Referral LiaisonDepartment: AdministrativeEmployment Type: Full TimeLocation: Huntington, New YorkCompensation: $22.00 - $28.00 / hourDescriptionAs the Referral Liaison you will play a critical role in enhancing our relationships with Veterinary Medical Professionals (DVMs) in the area and promoting our emergency services and specialists at West Hills Animal Hospital and Gold Coast Center for Veterinary Care. This dynamic position will focus on creating and nurturing connections with rDVMs and veterinary hospitals to increase referrals. This job can be either full-time or part-time, depending on the needs and preferences of the candidate. Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the liaison for Gold Coast and West Hills Emergency Rooms and rDVMs, fostering strong professional relationships.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings with General Practitioners (GPs) in the area to introduce our services and specialists.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with vet hospitals in the region.
  • Provide marketing materials and promotional resources to rDVMs and veterinary hospitals.
  • Schedule Continuing Education (CE) sessions and Lunch and Learns within partner hospitals to familiarize rDVMs with our specialists.
  • Promote our emergency services and specialist offerings to the veterinary community in the field.
  • Travel to rDVM practices and partner hospitals to establish in-person connections and address any issues.
  • Be the primary contact for rDVMs, ensuring their needs are met and concerns are addressed.
  • Represent our hospital systems at industry events, conferences, and trade shows, managing booth presence and engaging with potential partners.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create and distribute promotional materials to support marketing efforts.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to educate rDVMs and potential partners about our services and benefits.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain relationships with rDVMs and veterinary professionals.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
  • Knowledge of the veterinary healthcare industry and an understanding of emergency medical services is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel to various locations, and access to a reliable vehicle for field visits.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
