A privately owned warm and friendly animal hospital located at 122 Manetto Hill Rd in Plainview, New York. We are committed to combining a state-of-the-art veterinary facility with a team of highly skilled, dedicated, and compassionate professionals. Our facility is a full-service paperless hospital with all high-end equipment, including surgical laser, top-of-the-line ultrasound and monitors, a separate dental suite, and large fully equipped exam rooms. In addition to medical services, we also offer grooming by our skilled stylists and pet daycare. Our hospital was designed to create a stress-free feeling of coming home. Surrounded by warmth and clean smells as you walk through our doors, our clients, as well as our staff, feel like they are family. Dr. Weiss is happy to mentor the right new grad and help build their skill levels to obtain a confidence in both diagnostic and surgical procedures.

We are attentive to not only the needs of our patients but also to the needs of our veterinarians and staff. Our facility has a large kitchen area and a separate lounge for breaks.

Role Description

Looking for 1-2 full-time or part-time Associate Veterinarians to join the Manetto Hill Animal Hospital located in Nassau County, NY. As an Associate Veterinarian, you will be responsible for providing high-quality veterinary care to our animal patients. Your day-to-day tasks will include diagnosing and treating medical conditions, performing surgeries, conducting preventative care, and educating pet owners about best practices in animal healthcare. This is an on-site role, and you will work closely with our team of veterinary professionals to ensure the well-being of our furry patients.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree
• Licensure to practice veterinary medicine in the state of New York
• Strong knowledge and experience in small animal medicine and surgery
• Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other veterinarians and support staff
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for providing high-quality care to animals
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Mentorship opportunity for a New Grad
