**Job Summary** **:**

Candidate will be responsible for inspecting Vertical Transportation (Elevator and Escalator) installation and repair of vertical transportation systems in public transportation facilities for compliance with applicable construction codes and technical standards.

**Job Requirements:**

* Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written, verbal communication includes contract staff, Resident Engineer, facility staff both in person and via two-way communications.

* Minimum of 5 years of experience in diversified field vertical transportation inspections (elevatorescalatormoving walksdumb waiter, vertical platform lifts, etc.)

* Self-starter, organized, coordinating/scheduling own inspections, capable of simultaneously working on multiple projects (terminals, buildings, bridges, ports, etc.)

* Conduct acceptance level inspections of traction and hydraulic elevators, escalators, moving walks.

* Must be able to prepare detailed inspection reports for all vertical transportation units.

* Working knowledge of ASME A17.1, ASME A17.2, ASME A17.3, ASME A18.1, New York City Building Code, IBC and New Jersey Codes including referenced standards.

* QEI Certification is required.

* Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

* Ability to pass a SWAC Background Check at High Level.

* Valid Driver's license required. And use of personal vehicle may be required.
