Job Description:

Sage Parts is the world s largest supplier of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and airport-related replacement parts with warehouses in the United States, Canada, Chile, France, Hong Kong, Singapore, Macau, South Africa, and The Netherlands. Sage Parts supplies replacement parts and accessories for all types and brands of GSE including aircraft cargo loaders, deicers, pushback tractors, baggage tractors, ground power units, pre-conditioned air units, air start units, lavatory/water vehicles, transporters, and dollies. Sage Parts provides supply chain management, on-site supply services, single-source supply and other cost reduction programs. We are expanding our global reach and are in search of a US Wholesale Sales Leader with experience leading high performing sales teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Revenue development: $35-$45 Million
  • Gross Margin development
  • Directs the sales activities through the implementation of company strategy
  • Team management: 7 Area Sales Managers
  • Ensures strategic and tactical alignment with key stakeholders and business partners to grow business profitably
  • Drive accountability, new opportunity development, customer relations, and customer retention
  • Manage the business pipeline

Business Leadership

  • Implement segment initiatives on a local level with customers, supplier partners and local internal resources
  • Develop and co-owns personal contacts with key customers
  • Demonstrate business acumen and achieve revenue goals
  • Leverage appropriate pricing strategy to guide team to most profitable business growth
  • Demonstrate change leadership; drive and actively lead team through business changes

Resource Management

  • Lead team in prioritizing tasks to justify individual or team allocation of time and resources
  • Prioritize people and projects to ensure that both internal and external client needs are met
  • Manage strategic supplier relationships in partnership with internal stakeholders
  • Drive understanding and adoption of key business tools and resources

Talent Management

  • Select, develop, train, and retain diverse sales force
  • Identify and develop future leaders and strong contributors
  • Manage Area Sales Managers performance metrics in accordance with a sales management approach
  • Observe progress, judge the effectiveness of direct reports, and provides timely and appropriate feedback.
  • Coach and counsel direct reports to perform successfully and in ongoing development of skills and competencies

REQUIREMENTS / REQUESTED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Be strategic, organized and technology savvy in approach to managing a sales team
  • Demonstrated successful strategic planning, goal setting and allocation, problem solving, quantitative analysis and time management
  • Demonstrate the ability to motivate and achieve results through others
  • Demonstrate leadership skills to assess, coach, counsel, and develop a sales team
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand financial reporting, to analyze business needs, costs/budgets and P&L
  • Possess excellent presentation skills, strong customer focus, and the ability to effectively lead through change
  • Experienced in technical products sales
  • BA in business administration or related field
  • 5+ years working experience in Sales leadership
  • Parts Aftermarket experience in an Industrial environment

TRAVEL/EXPECTED WORK HOURS

  • Professional staff must be available during the core work hours of 8 am 5 pm, Monday thru Friday. Hours/days beyond the core work hours/days are typical as job duties of a Director often demand.
  • 50% travel is required
  • This position involves national and international travel on commercial aircraft to customers, vendors, trade shows, etc., and other SAGE locations, as necessary, and may occur on weekends, holidays and overnight.
  • Position is remote; must be near international airport for travel
