Part-time Trust & Estates Attorney, New York

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Trust & Estates Attorney. The ideal Candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in trust and estates law, drafting estate planning documents, including estate tax returns and some experience working with fiduciary income tax and primarily collaborate with attorneys and conduct legal research and writing to support legal proceedings. The candidate will be responsible for the collection and organization of documents and information from various cases at the firm.

Responsibilities

• Review and draft routine legal documents and conduct legal research
• Create and maintain case files and be able to handle trust and estate matters
• Draft trust and estate legal documents, estate administration and

estate tax returns

• Knowledgeable in fiduciary income tax filings
• Facilitate organization strategies to meet Court deadlines efficiently

Qualifications

• Bachelor s Degree Required
• J.D. from an accredited law school required
• Barred in New York, or New Jersey, or Connecticut and in good standing with the Bar Association and additionally licensed to practice in all three states
• Prior trust and estates experience is a must
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Knowledge of standard MS Office Suite, trust and estate software and Legal Research Search Engines
