Trust and Estates Private Client Attorney Associate

An elite mid-sized firm in New York City has an unposted need for a Trust & Estates / Private Client associate to join its prestigious group.

The ideal candidate will have:

• 3-7 years of trusts and estates experience at a large law firm or boutique, including experience in estate administration and preparation of estate tax returns
• Excellent academic credentials (typically top law schools with honors)

This firm is one of the most popular mid-sized firms (~150 attorneys) in New York and regularly attracts associates from elite/Vault 20 firms). It is a general practice with strong connections in the advertising and marketing, hospitality, and entertainment and media ecosystems. The culture is very collaborative and associate friendly - very rarely do associates leave to go to another firm.

Compensation is slightly below the top of the market, but with bonuses tiered starting at 1800 hours, associates billing 2,000 (which is generally rare) actually exceed market in terms of total comp.

This is an opportunity to receive near top of market compensation but while doing a much more management number of hours, in a friendly and collaborative culture, without compromising the high-end and complex nature of work.
