Moving patients by wheelchair or stretcher to and from, but not limited to, their patient room, Radiology Department, EEG, ED X-ray, Cardiology, PFT, ED CT, floor admissions and all other nursing units. Transfer patients from their bed to a wheelchair or stretcher, and respond to the location with the appropriate equipment when required. Transporters are also responsible for transporting blood for trauma, retrieving specimens, running STAT medications from the Pharmacy and sorting and delivering mail throughout the medical center. Transport C-Ports to the Cardiac Cath Lab - Return all equipment to proper place after transportation of patient Requirements: High school diploma, equivalent or relevant experience. Prior patient care experience preferred Must be able to independently move patients from one location of the hospital to another.
