Creighton Mannings growing both Albany and Westchester County (Ossining) Locations. Both offices are seeking an experienced Transportation Planner/Engineer to join our Transportation team.
**About The Position**
Creighton Manning is seeking an experienced Transportation Planner/Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about our profession, wants to make a difference in their local community and strives to enhance our teams reputation as transportation professionals.Transportation Planner or Engineer | Albany and Westchester County (Ossining) Locations
Job titles include: Planner II, Planner III, and Engineer III and up
**Responsibilities**Lead key transportation planning and design project assignments, involving day-to-day task management, staffing, scheduling and technical responsibilities, along with client coordination. Project responsibilities are flexible and based on the candidates experience, passion and location. The position may require efforts outside normal business hours to travel, meet client requests and/or attend meetings. A background and an interest in improving the public transportation system is a plus.
**Skills & Abilities**
* Proficiency in planning and design principles for all transportation modes, with a focus on alternative modes of travel like walking, biking and transit.
* Applied knowledge of NACTO, MUTCD, ADA, and relevant state DOT design requirements.
* Applied knowledge of engineering principles and techniques; or applied knowledge of transportation planning principles and techniques
* Strong analytical, writing, and public speaking skills
* MicroStation, AutoCAD, ESRI ArchGIS or Adobe Illustrator skills are a plus.
**Qualifications**
* Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering; Or, a Bachelors Degree in Planning; Or approved equivalent
* A minimum of 3 years of experience as a transportation professional in a consulting firm or public entity
* PE license (NY) or AICP is a plus, not required
