Tool Crib Attendant The Tool Crib Attendant will manage tools for the company by issuing tools to machinists, maintain inventories, restock tooling as needed, collect tooling from machining areas and maintaining records.Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain inventory of tools and equipment.
- Receive, store, and issue machine tools and equipment to work centers and maintain records of tools and equipment issued and returned, using Tool Crib software.
- Receive, unpack, and store incoming tools and equipment, and requisition stock to replenish inventory.
- Inspect and measure tools and equipment for defects and wear, visually or using inspection equipment, and record/report damage or wear to supervisors.
- Repair, service, and maintain tools and equipment
- Mark and identify tools and equipment, using identification tag, stamp, or electric marking too to keep organized.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of cutting tools used in machining
- Basic understanding and ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Ability to read and understand set up sheets
- Ability to operate manual tools & cutter grinder
- Tool crib experience in a manufacturing environment a plus
- Experience with inventory control systems
- Must be organized and a self-starter
- Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong computer aptitude
- Attention to detail
- Knowledge of basic math
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate and interact well with other employees
