Job Description: Alfred State, SUNY College of Technology, seeks qualified applicants for a full or part time temporary appointment in the Electrical Engineering Technology AAS and BS programs starting August 2023. This position focuses on teaching, laboratory work, and project-basedlearning. The department is interested in individuals who have a passion for relating engineering theory to practical application, enabling students to learn by doing. We are seeking a self-motivated Electrical or Computer Engineer with a broad background. Candidates should expect to support and teach related electrical engineering technology courses.Position Responsibilities:Teach a variety of undergraduate electrical or computer engineering technology courses in both lecture and laboratory settings.The position could involve teaching courses in microelectronics, IC technology, embedded controllers, electronic communications, or among other topics.The candidate would be responsible for all aspects of courses from laboratory set-up to grading and assessment.Collaborate on ETAC-ABET accreditation and assessment initiatives for the semester.PM18Requirements: Baccalaureate degree with industrial experience in electrical or computer engineering technology, electrical or computer engineering, or a closely related field is required.Possession of excellent written and oral communication skills. Preferred QualificationsAn ability to teach microelectronics, IC technology and cleanroom experience, embedded controllers, or electronic communications.A minimum of three years of recent, relevant industrial experience that is tied directly to the electrical engineering technology curriculum.Master's degree in electrical or computer engineering technology, electrical or computer engineering, or a closely related field.Additional Information: Employees are also offered EXCEPTIONAL BENEFITS!
