Job Details

The Telephone Operator is responsible for managing inbound and outbound calls on our Avaya Switchboard, as well as monitoring hospital safety systems

Responsibilities of the Telephone Operator include:

* Operates console and responds to all calls promptly

* Operator is familiar with codes and alarms

* Operator is knowledgeable on activation of beeper

* Performs duties within the Telecommunications department

* Complies with dress code

* Conducts him or herself in a professional manner on behalf of MMC

* Maintains a safe work environment

* Operator handles patient information correctly

* Operator is familiar with codes and alarms

* Operator is knowledgeable on activation of beeper(s)

* Performs duties within the Telecommunications department

* Conducts herself or himself in a professional manner on behalf of MMC

* Complies with dress code

* Accepts additional duties as needed

Requirements for the Telephone Operator role include:

* High School Graduate or equivalent

* Prior experience with switchboard operations preferred

* Excellent oral communications skills required.

Salary Range

USD $23.73 - USD $23.73 /Hr.
