A tech services company in Central New York is currently seeking a new Technician to join their growing team in Chemung County. In this role, the Technician will be responsible for working with Production Manufacturing and Process Engineers to develop, research, produce, and observe manufacturing products and processes. Responsibilities: The Technician
- Monitor production processes in manufacturing facilities
- Perform tests on products to ensure compliance to standards and specifications
- Prepare metallurgic samples for evaluation
- Observe and confer with equipment operators to ensure specified techniques are used
- Participate in fabricating, installing, and modifying equipment to ensure that critical standards are met
- Test and analyze products to determine strength, stability, and other characteristics for a variety of purposes
- Build and/or process customer product, as required
- Compile and interpret results of tests and analyses; prepare reports, charts, and graphs
- Set up and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments
- Provide and maintain a safe work environment
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience using a variety of test equipment
- Associate's Degree in Engineering / Technology
- Microsoft Office proficient (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Solid problem solving and time management skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Creative problem-solving capabilities
