Our client is seeking a Technical Designer to join the team on a contract basis in their New York office! This is for handbags & footwear category.
Responsibilities:
- Develop CADs, design specs, and line art.
- Participate in all fittings.
- Be able to work on various projects at once.
- Utilize Adobe Creative Suite to develop and edit designs.
- Maintain data tracking in internal system (PLM & Excel).
- Collaborate with various staff/cross functional teams in creating boards, decks, and other deign specs as needed.
- Keep seasonal colors, pallets and standards up to date in necessary work spaces.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years+ experience as a technical designer in a corporate setting preferred.
- Associate or Bachelor Degree in Technical Design or Fashion Design
- Knowledge of garment construction methods.
- Proficient in PC applications including MS Word, Excel and Outlook Express.
- Ability to evaluate fit problems on live models
- Understanding of Grade Rules
