A recognized consulting firm in New York City is currently seeking an experienced professional to join their staff as their new Tax Senior Associate. In this role, the Tax Senior Associate will be responsible for completing all aspects of accounting, tax and audit engagements for clients, includingstatus updates to engagement managers and adhere to all quality control standards, as required. Responsibilities: The Tax Senior Associate will:
- Complete all aspects of accounting, tax and audit engagements for clients including status updates to engagement managers and adhere to all quality control standards as required
- Adhere to engagement budget constraints and complete assigned tasks within the time requested, explain variances when needed
- Achieve charge hour goals
- Review the Associates' accounting, tax or auditing work: provide constructive review points
- Assist in the client billing process by assisting Managers or Directors
- Identify and begin to develop knowledge in selected specialty practice
- Leverage industry knowledge and business acumen blending cross serve opportunities into client engagements
- Participate in practice development activities such as: membership in qualified organizations capable of referring potential engagements
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in a Public Accounting environment
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Previous experience working with Nonprofit / Private Foundation entities
- Microsoft Excel proficient
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
