Marcum is looking for talented and driven individuals to join our team in the NYC office. Interns will become involved with all aspects of the Alternative Investments Tax practice and will gain solid, hand-on experience. They will experience challenging and relevant assignments working directly with Marcum partners and staff. They will work along with the Alternative Investments Tax staff in performing the tax compliance function of the Alternative Investments Tax practice. The position requires strong quantitative, analytical and technology capabilities. Interns must exhibit initiative and a strong desire to learn.

The ideal candidate will be able to devote a minimum of 24 hours a week to this internship. The goal of the internship is to give interns a clear understanding of all areas of the Alternative Investments Tax department. They will be assigned client work and will be involved in various projects. Projects will be assigned on an as needed basis. Projects can include responding to notices from taxing authorities, research tax issues, tax planning, and projections, reconciliation of book to tax income, etc. They will leave Marcum with the knowledge of what will be expected of them as staff accountants. Interns are allowed and encouraged to attend any subject matter training being offered during their internship. Marcum LLP offers 150+ courses per year, in house. Interns will also receive on the job training.

Compensation Range
