What the Tax Accountant will do
- Preparation of federal, international and state tax returns
- Calculate tax provisions and maintain tax disclosures under US GAAP
- Assist with income tax accounting (ASC 740) including the preparation of half-year and full-year tax provisions, calculation of the effective tax rate, and assisting with the annual financial audit
- Research tax law for tax compliance, taxability issues and special projects; prepare relevant memos that analyze statutes, regulations, rulings, case law, and other relevant authority
- Coordinate, assist, and provide guidance for tax audit defense and tax compliance notices including corresponding with governing agencies during the process
What the company needs in a Tax Accountant:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related
- Prior experience in federal, state, and local taxes
- Experience with tax systems such as CCH or Prosystems a plus
- Strong technical skills
- Highly motivated individual
Salary range: $70000-90000
