Job Posting SummaryWith a dotted line of responsibility to the Office of Information Technology and the Office of the Registrar, and overall supervision from the Director of Marketing for Workforce Credentialing and Community Impact, the Systems Specialist/Administrator's primary responsibilities will be to ensure the timely processing of operations to support the Division of Workforce Credentialing and Community Impact across a broad array of technology and information systems. Primary responsibility will be supporting enrollment, registration, and other systems services for students enrolled at Mercy coming from non-traditional programs and pathways, in a professional, efficient and compliant manner.Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:A. Administrative/Technical/Service* Serve as the main liaison between the IT Office and the Division of Workforce Credentialing and Community Impact for all matters pertaining to systems integration between WCCI operations and University-wide IT systems.* Support the development and implementation of enrollment and registration practices for new consortium-based programs.* Assist students, administrative staff, academic unit heads and other constituents troubleshoot student enrollment, registration, billing, and scheduling issues.* Functional operator of CRM (Technologies Slate), performing daily activities related to regular maintenance and administration.* Sets up, tests, and prepares emails for delivery within the CRM.* Works with different areas and with third-party vendors to acquire and import data to the CRM; provides exported data as needed.* Configure and customize Slate to meet the specific needs and workflows of different departments and users, including forms, reports, workflows, and portals* Troubleshoot and resolve issues relating to records, integration, and general system issues* Support development and administration of enrollment and registration processes related to articulation agreements for converting non-credit programs to credit bearing courses.* Primary maintenance of CERTIFi website in Drupal environment, managing content deployment and ongoing upkeep of site* Manage tracking for digital media* Coordinate systems alignment, including but not limited to Slate, Banner, DestinyOne, Blackboard, and data provided by Third-party program partners.* Perform other duties and projects as assigned.B. Organizational/Managerial* Establishing Direction and Focus* Attend all departmental staff meetings and training sessions.* Support the Division of Workforce Credentialing and Community Impact as he/she serves as liaison with the Registrar's Office, Office of Enrollment Services, Office of Admissions, the School Deans, the Academic Department Chairs, and the Career Services Office* Attention to Communications* Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, written and oral communication, problem-solving, organizational, and presentation skills.* Service Orientation:* Demonstrated evidence of detail-orientation, customer service orientation, ability to work independently, ability to manage great levels of responsibility required.* Demonstrating Initiative and Dependability:* Strong project coordination skills with the ability to implement concurrent projects of various complexity with tight timelines.* Ability to multi-task, prioritize daily assignments and adjust to changing workloads.C. Policies and Procedures Compliance* Ensure integrity and accuracy of academic records.* Keep abreast of ever changing federal, state and institutional regulations; ensure institutional policies and procedures are updated on a regular and consistent basis; ensure supporting staff are trained as regulations are updated.QualificationsRequired Skills & Experience:* Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, written and oral communication, problem-solving, organizational, and presentation skills.* Service Orientation* Demonstrated evidence of detail-orientation, customer service orientation, ability to work independently, ability to manage great levels of responsibility required.* Demonstrating Initiative and Dependability:* Strong project coordination skills with the ability to implement concurrent projects of various complexity with tight timelines.* Ability to multi-task, prioritize daily assignments and adjust to changing workloads.* Minimum of three to five years data entry and analysis experience, preferred experience with higher education registration and other higher ed systems.* Must be proficient in MS Office (or other collaboration software), preferred experience with specialized software, including Banner (or other Student Information System), Slate, Blackboard, and Argos.* Strong spreadsheet and data analytics skills including advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and/or SPSS, preferred relational databases such as MS Access and/or SQL, and related tools such as Tableau and PowerBI.* Knowledge of FERPA, federal/state regulations and compliance issues preferredEducation Requirements:* Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college required; Master's degree preferred.Physical/Other Requirements:* Must be able to push, pull, move or lift up to 50 lbs.* Must be able to meet all general health requirements for the position as per university policiesCompensation offered will be commensurate with the educational background and work experience of the individual.Mercy University promotes a community campus environment.
