Job Description: The Systems Administrator will work closely with ITS staff to design new solutions while maintaining existing systems and solutions. This position monitors the environmental administration and maintenance of various platforms and programs. The Systems Administrator will perform tasks on NetApp enterprise storage such as operating system upgrades, firmware updates, hardware refresh, CIFS, NFS, and security modifications in CLI and GUI interfaces. Along with, VMware operating system upgrades and maintenance, maintenance of current VMs, installing and configuring new virtual servers, operating system template builds and maintenance, and security patching of the VMware environment. This position will work in Microsoft Windows Active Directory user and group administration, GPO administration, account and group migration using ADMT, ADDS maintenance, and integration with other environments such as Microsoft Exchange Online. Along with Microsoft print server maintenance including operating systems maintenance, installing drivers, and publishing printers for use in AD. The System Administrator will perform Microsoft SQL server installation, configuration, and maintenance. Microsoft licensing server administration, including management of the licensing for all Microsoft products including Windows operating systems and Office products, and management of application licenses for Oracle Enterprise Linux 6 and 7. Provide support with Academic Systems, along with building the OS, boot issues, partitioning, and log maintenance. This position will work on administering email systems including DNS/MX, Microsoft Exchange Online(M365), and Windows Imaging using MDT and Universal Imaging Utility tools. Along with the administration of OpenLDAP, BIND DNS, DHCP, Men and Mice, and SAML/SSO. The System Administrator will conduct shell scripting and crontab for automation, server installs either hardware or software, image creation, management of endpoints, user profile management, and security updates. This position will use Sentinel One Endpoint Protection Management for security updates. Monitoring the configuration and maintenance of endpoints on both the management and lab networks. The Systems Administrator will communicate with vendors on installation, configuration, and maintenance contracts. Other reasonable duties as assigned

Salary: $75,000-$90,000Benefits: Requirements: Minimum Requirements: B.S. in Computer Science degree from a college or University accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization and 5 years of experience administering Windows servers. In lieu of a degree, 10 or more years of relevant experience may suffice.Preferred Requirements:Knowledge of Operating System/Application Deployment technologies; Hands-on experience in networking, routing, and switching.Applicants must address in their applications their abilities to work with a culturally diverse population.
