Job Title: Project Administrator - Construction
Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Administrator to join our client' construction team. The Project Administrator will play a key role in supporting project managers and construction teams in administrative tasks to ensure the successful planning, execution, and completion of construction projects.
Responsibilities:
Project Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings, specifications, and change orders.Subcontractor Coordination: Assist in coordinating subcontractor activities, including obtaining bids, processing contracts, and ensuring compliance with project requirements.Material Procurement: Support the procurement process by obtaining quotes, issuing purchase orders, and tracking deliveries to ensure timely availability of materials and supplies.Safety Compliance: Assist in ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Maintain safety records and coordinate safety training for project personnel.Budget Tracking: Assist project managers in tracking project expenses against the budget. Monitor costs related to labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.Schedule Management: Support the development and maintenance of project schedules. Coordinate with project teams to ensure adherence to construction timelines and milestones.Quality Assurance: Assist in monitoring construction quality and compliance with specifications. Document quality issues and assist in implementing corrective actions.Meeting Coordination: Schedule and coordinate project meetings, including pre-construction meetings, progress meetings, and closeout meetings. Prepare meeting agendas and minutes.Change Management: Assist in processing change orders and documenting changes to project scope, schedule, and budget. Ensure proper approval and documentation of change requests.Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (preferred).Previous experience in construction administration or project management.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid, Autodesk BIM 360).Knowledge of construction contracts, codes, and regulations.Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Flexibility to adapt to changing project priorities and deadlines.
