SUNY Oneonta invites applications for full-time Summer Cleaners position in the Custodial Department, a department within the Maintenance Operations Center. Cleaning on SUNY Oneonta's beautiful campus can be rewarding work. And, since cleaning is a physical job, you'll get a good workout too!As a Cleaner, you will perform building and custodial tasks including, but not limited to, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning restrooms, collecting trash, and moving furniture.Expectations include: the safe and proper use of various equipment and products; ability and willingness to follow oral and written instructions and communications; and work in a thorough and dependable manner.Salary: $33,313Shift: 6am-2:30pmRequirements: Required qualifications:
  • Must be a current college student enrolled in Fall 2024
  • Ability to perform physically demanding labor including, but not limited to, lifting heavy objects up to fifty pounds, standing, bending, walking, climbing, reaching, and repetitive motions
  • Must be able to work safely and efficiently in an environment containing caustic chemicals and cleaning materials, as well as dust and noise
  • Ability to understand and carry out written and/or oral instructions.
