MISSION: New School students LOVE Gnarls, and the Gnarls squad is essential to bringing Gnarls to New School events, photoshoots, and student projects. The Gnarls squad includes mascots (students to wear the costume), photographers, choreographers, dancers, student athletes, and student leaders united in the mission of making New School students feel a sense of community, inclusion, and belonging on campus. This role provides a unique opportunity to develop leadership, communication, time management, and networking skills. Team members gain expansive knowledge of student engagement opportunities, student leadership. athletics, recreation, inclusion, and belonging. Members of the Gnarls squad are part of a group chat where we plan events, photoshoots, and other event appearances by Gnarls and their squad.

RESPONSIBILITIES, EXPECTATIONS & TIME COMMITMENT

* Work a minimum of 8 regular office hours per week from the Fanton Hall office and 2 additional hours remotely (including weekly team meeting on zoom).

* Work a minimum of 2 events per month held on evenings and weekends. Instagram team members may be asked to create and post engaging social media content from events, assist with attendance and other event logistics, and provide support to the Gnarls mascot and on-site coordinators of the event.

* Answer student questions in DMs, through instagram takeovers, by email, by phone, and in-person at the Student Success office.

* Build positive morale and support among all members of the team.

* Be an active member of the team's group chat, where task assignments and upcoming schedules are confirmed.

* Must be available for team retreat at the beginning of each semester

Hourly Range: $15.00 - $19.00
