Job Description:

Our client, a global hedge fund, is adding a Strategic Finance Projects Manager to their team. This role will lead and execute initiatives, representing the department firm-wide. This role requires a dynamic individual with strong project management skills, strategic thinking, and experience with Jira and Agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Partner with management to develop and execute strategic initiatives aligned with the firm's financial objectives and operational priorities.
  • Project Management: Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of strategic projects using Agile methodologies. Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements. Develop project plans and manage project teams to ensure successful delivery.
  • Agile Experience: Utilize Agile principles and practices to manage project workflows, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews. Facilitate daily stand-up meetings and retrospectives to monitor progress and address issues.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and modeling to support strategic decision-making and business case development. Evaluate investment opportunities, cost-saving initiatives, and operational improvements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders across the organization to align project objectives with business priorities. Foster communication and cooperation among team members to achieve project goals.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure project success and track progress. Utilize Jira or similar tools to monitor project workflows and identify areas for improvement.
  • Change Management: Drive organizational change initiatives by effectively communicating project objectives, benefits, and impacts to stakeholders. Support the adoption of new processes and procedures.
  • You'll have:

    • Bachelor's degree
    • Must have experience executing projects from start to finish
    • 6-10 years of experience working on finance related initiatives within financial services or consulting
    • Strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate flawlessly with management
    • Familiarity with JIRA and Agile Project Management
