Store Design Planner
Put your career into high gear with Mavis Discount Tire! We're looking for a full time Store Design Planner to join Team Mavis at our Corporate Offices in Valhalla, NY. With over 2,000 retail locations, Mavis is one of the largest tire sales and automotive repair chains in the United States, and we re growing rapidly.
About the Position of Store Design Planner
The Store Design Planner will be responsible for, designing, planning, and overseeing the design and construction document development for New and Remodel Mavis locations. This role requires a high level of expertise in architecture, design, project management, and team leadership to ensure that projects are completed on time, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Design Development for New and Remodel projects throughout all phases
Manage Architecture consultants throughout the Design and Documentation process
Liaise communication between internal departments to support active project pipeline
Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure project milestones, timelines, and deliverables are documented and communicated effectively
Manage junior staff workload and strategically allocate resources (internal and external) to ensure projects are completed on schedule
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Interior Design
At least 5 years of experience in retail store planning and design
Leadership, project management, and team management skills
Strong understanding of architectural design and construction processes, including familiarity with building codes and regulations
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to develop innovative solutions to design challenges
Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficient in design software (AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Suite, Bluebeam, etc.)
