**JOB DESCRIPTION:**

Modern Packaging is seeking a skilled individual to provide Stock Room support. The role includes effectively managing storage, receiving, and distribution of materials as well as maintaining accurate records of inventory. Our ideal candidate is attentive, energetic, and hardworking. The position reports to the Stock Room Supervisor and is located in Deer Park, NY.

**RESPONSIBILITIES:**

* Accept delivered packages and count to ensure correct quantities.

* Unload and move delivered packages to stock room.

* Pack and unpack items for storage

* Stock shelves

* Utilize labeling equipment to produce barcodes

* Label stock items

* Ensure labels are clear and visible.

* Record inventory data manually or on a computer or handheld electronic device

* Document discrepancies between inventory records and physical counts of stock

* Scan in necessary paperwork, packing slips, etc.

* Tracking & replenishing inventory.

* Issuing parts to assembly, spare parts and other departments

* Verifying parts with drawings

* Work with Purchasing to identify and replace damaged or missing products.

* Process damaged or defective stock per company protocol

* Report malfunctioning or damaged stock-handling equipment to management

* Operate machinery for moving stock items including operation of forklift to lift or place items

* Comply with safety regulations for moving heavy objects and using machinery

* Work with salespeople on inventory and orders.

* Assist other stock workers in their daily duties

* Coordinate with co-workers to accomplish large tasks efficiently

* Prepare documents and reports for transactions or regulatory compliance

* Keep the stock room neat and orderly

* Inventory stock of materials, supplies, parts, and merchandise

* Maintains safe and clean stock area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

* Contributes to team effort and handles additional requests as needed.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS:**

* High School degree or GED

* One plus years experience in stocking, shipping, logistics or related field

* Exceptional organizational skills

* Strong interpersonal communication

* Written and oral comprehension skills

* Ability to complete tasks with little to no direct supervision

* Ability to work quickly and accurately in a complex, fast-moving environment

* Physically able to stand and walk for extended periods of time

* Physically capable of routinely bending to lift and move items up to 50 pounds

* Basic computer skills

* Follows all safety requirements and maintaining a clean and orderly work environment

* Regular attendance and daily punctuality are necessary for performing the job
