In this position, you will help assist the Sales Coordinator and the Director of Sales and Marketing with the day-to-day operations of the sales/catering office.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
Primary responsibilities will include the following:
* Answers phones, qualify incoming inquiries and ensures all inquiries are dealt with accurately, timely, and professionally.
* Handling calls and obtaining detailed information to assist the guest or to connect the caller with the appropriate team member
*Assist with the promotions of on-brand messaging to customers through traditional, digital, and social media channels, all to enhance the image of the hotel
*Assist with Social Media postings
*Help maintain the brands voice in all communications and throughout the hotel
*Monitor competition and marketing trends, tools and applications specific to the hotel industry and target market(s)
* Assist with measuring and reporting the impact of marketing strategies
* Assist with coming up with exciting new campaigns
* Attend Marketing meetings
* Other duties as assigned by the Sales Coordinator or Director of Sales & Marketing ? Project work may also be assigned.
Secondary responsibilities include:
* Photocopying
* Distributing banquet event orders and other catering related documents to hotel operations departments
*Utilizing Delphi sales and catering system to support sales and catering needs
* Attend Sales meetings (when possible) There will also be opportunities to shadow and support different team members with their needs, allowing you to understand all the roles within the department.
Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience: Knowledge/Experience Requirements:
* School of Hotel Administration students will be highly favored.
* Prior hotel sales experience or Delphi and Opera experience is a plus.
* Ideally, the right candidate will have an understanding of current digital marketing tools and strategies.
