Senior Development Engineer II Web Engineer (Front End - Angular)

POSTION SUMMARY:
This Senior Web Engineer will be a part of our Health Services organization which is comprised of numerous teams. This team is supporting a blue-chip project that is helping to support, enhance, and create new programs and services that support our suite of health services including Minute Clinic and Virtual Care. This Senior Web Engineer will be responsible for end-to-end application delivery including production deployment, application operationalization, and observability. The development of these applications will help build our next-generation scheduling platform to ensure support lines of business across our enterprise, focusing on helping people live healthier lives.
In this role, you will:
- Work with Product and UX teams to be part of a team of engineers in designing solutions and developing elegant code, state-of-the-art responsive customer experiences, and build industry leading digital experiences.
- Partner with application owners, business partners, and peer groups regarding long and short-range technical solutions that meet business requirements.
- Participate in Program Increment (PI) planning meeting and establish face-to-face communication across all team and Product Owners.
- Analyze and contribute to project and business requirements based on product team milestones and priority.
- Actively participate in Agile Scrum team activities including Sprint Planning, Grooming, Scrum, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Be a technologist and work with other Engineers in planning, prioritizing, and performing assigned tasks within deadlines.
- Will be responsible for end-to-end application delivery including production deployment, application operationalization, and observability.
- Develop applications/web services and cloud native apps using Angular JS, React, and other tech stacks (Open source and proprietary). Around 80% of your time will be spent coding, primarily in Angular 14.
- Unit testing using framework such as Junit, Karma, Mockito, JBehave, etc.
- Build and deploy services using GitHub, CircleCI, or Harness as part of CI/CD process in leading Cloud Platforms - AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Continuously checking and monitoring App health and KPIs, support triage of any production issues as and when needed.
- Be an advocate for and implementer of security best practices.
- Adopt and apply industry technology best practices.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 7+ years of functional experience of demonstrated excellence in an information systems environment.
- 5+ years of experience working with internet facing applications.
- 5+ years of hands-on development using various open source and proprietary frameworks - AngularJS, React, etc.
- 3+ years of experience developing micro frontend applications using AngularJS (ideally Angular 14+)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with Agile development, SAFe Agile
- Experience with GCP
- Experience with using NodeJS on the front end
EDUCATION:
Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)
