A health services network in New York is looking to add a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their team in Yonkers.About the Opportunity:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 9am to 5pm
Responsibilities:The Staff Nurse (LPN) will:
- Interview and maintain patient's medical record to include: nursing observation; health history to include past and present use of medication; vital signs; vision/hearing tests; medications and treatments given
- Perform in-house labs, collect specimens for out-side labs perform quality control in accordance with organizational protocols
- Complete and update all assigned tasks & logs
- Initiates follow-up as necessary (as directed by provider) i.e. encounter, labs, close non-billables, etc.
- Perform health teaching as indicated by Physician, diagnosis and/or inquires by patient
- Collect data on patients under supervision of the Registered Nurse or provider
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Technical Degree in Nursing
- NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- BLS/CPR certification
- Infection Control certification
- Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
