The **Sr. Manager, Retail Sales and Marketing** is responsible for the development and execution of shopper marketing, trade marketing and customer-based initiatives supporting the strategies set by the GM of Consumer and Head of Sales. Ideal candidates will have strong shopper marketing, trade marketing, and brand management experience, with the ability to successfully collaborate with cross-functional teams, to achieve the companys business and growth goals.

**Responsibilities**

* Lead trade strategy development to improve trade return on investment at a channel and retailer level

* Responsible for the execution of Shopper Marketing initiatives to achieve Shopper and Commercial targets across multiple retailers and markets.

* Ensure alignment with key internal stakeholders (sales, marketing, etc.) by creating and sharing vision, strategy and the path for execution.

* Overseeing beginning to end multi-channel shopper marketing campaigns.

* Ensures the measurement of overall results of Shopper Marketing initiatives for continual improvement and share best practices with internal key stakeholders.

* Collaborate and engage with cross-functional teams (brand, sales, category development, finance, operations, COEs) to align support in development and execution on SM initiatives.

* Assess external vendor and retailer platform capabilities to identify future solutions for SM initiatives.

* Study shopper research, consumer insights and retailer strategies to create insight-based shopper marketing programs that achieve customer, brand and company goals.

* Manage Shopper Marketing budget - maximizing return on investment.

* Align with pricing, commercial finance, and vendors on plans, budgets, pricing strategies, and reconciliations

* Responsible for securing, updating and delivering against vendor brand standards/retail controllable

* Work with vendor leads to challenge and build the best program calendar for each brand

* Accountable for ensuring all expense and brand investment budgets are delivered at or below target

* Ensure our clients Gross Profit targets and requirements are being met for all assigned-vendor

* Work with sales management to develop thorough understanding of the needs of their business

* Work with pricing team to ensure brand pricing is aligned to strategy

* Assist finance team in the management of vendor and company funds and banks as it relates to local marketing and brand planning

* Manage innovation and new product introductions for all assigned vendors

* Understand our retailers every day and promotional activities to inform our planning strategies and maximize our category presence and consumer take-away.

* Lead in-market performance to help inform the annual trade budget in coordination with Finance.

* Establish pricing principles and optimal promotional windows by analyzing channel, retailer, and competitive activity. Monitor execution and highlight inconsistencies.

* Coordinate communication of pricing opportunities and key changes.

* Serve as a critical sales point of contact on trade systems.

* Improve trade forecasting reliability via process improvements.

* Support the analysis and pricing structure of new product launches.

**Skills & Requirements**

* 5+ years of CPG Brand Management and Shopper/Trade Marketing experience managing and executing in-store Shopper initiatives;

* Experience with project management across multiple initiatives and retailers at the same time;

* Strong understanding of consumer packaged goods industry, retail channels, and account-specific marketing;

* Understanding of Path to Purchase tactics and various marketing vehicles ranging from digital, coupons, print, sponsorships, media and more;

* Prior budget management experience preferred;

* Detailed thinker and ability to influence internally and externally to execute compelling retail marketing programs and engagements;

* Experience with syndicated data analysis;

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
