We are seeking an experienced Insurance Coordinator specializing in Property and Casualty with a deep understanding of insurance policies and regulations. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure compliance with EW Howell's insurance requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Review policies submitted by subcontractors for general liability, excess, umbrella, pollution, and professional insurance to confirm compliance with EW Howell's insurance standards.
- Identify non-compliant insurance through comprehensive policy analysis and exercise discretion in determining the need for escalation.
- Engage directly with subcontractors and their brokers to address non-compliant insurance issues, ensuring prompt resolution.
- Interpret various types of policies, endorsements, and insurance terminology, considering subcontractor risk profiles.
- Quickly identify problematic exclusions or missing endorsements and communicate effectively with subcontractor brokers for resolution.
- Demonstrate decision-making ability in complex insurance scenarios.
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining organization and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Possession of Property and Casualty license is mandatory.
- 5+ years of insurance experience.
- Knowledge of NY Construction insurance REQUIRED.
- Proficiency in policy analysis and interpretation.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with subcontractors, brokers, admins, and project managers.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to spot critical issues promptly.
- Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions independently.
- Proven ability to multitask effectively and maintain organization in a fast-paced environment.
