**About the Job:** CHANEL is looking for a Specialist, Retail Operations to join our Fragrance & Beauty Team, based in New York. You will play a leading role offering dedicated support to each Boutique. The individual in this role will understand in detail the operational journey, multi store management and people development strategies.

* Collaborate and influence Retail Operations, Regional Directors and Cross functional teams

* Focus on prioritizing our employee experience from an operational lens.

* Develop relationships across multiple function, creating a spirit of collaboration (within Retail Boutique Team, but also with other departments)

* Local contact for inventory, SOP, organization and maintenance

* Training teams on CHANELs policies and procedures (SOP) and correlating the needs of the business to the needs of the BOH/FOH all the while supporting and encouraging the boutique teams

**Operational Efficiencies:**

* Ensure non-sellable merchandise is being managed, tracked and adequately ordered to enforce cost savings/tracking P&L

* Review Transfers on a as needed basis to help streamline and reduce number of requests by BTQ

* Support Home Office and Directors with the scheduling and coordination of inventory and cycle counts

* Provide support and training to stores as it relates to proper inventory preparation

* Assist BTQ teams in reconciling stock discrepancies monthly

* Champion adoption of all tech tools and systems (Clienteling, Remote Selling, BI Dashboards, POS, MMS)

* Enforce After Sales & Service process and procedure

* Management of P&L and Cost Savings Opportunity for Ops Related items for Region Rolling up to approved Budget

* Evaluate operations in the stores on a regular basis and make process improvement or simplification Support Central strategies, and train and implement when necessary

* Train Retail Team on the POS System and support stores on training of new system roll-outs

**Strategy:**

* Develop key initiatives to be implemented in the East Coast Region, and by all BTQs with the support of the GD Retail Ops and RD East Coast, and in partnership from Key stakeholders to improve operational practices

* Participate in the onboarding process of new team members and tailor onboarding training in BTQ using tools developed by Retail Operations team

* Educate and train BOH teams on operations standards and inventory

* Train and communicate regularly on KPIs and opportunities to manage BOH processes and procedures

* Develop BTQ by BTQ strategy to promote inventory control and reduce loss/focus BTQs/Shrink

* Create a sense of community in the East Coast Region for Retail Operations leaders

**Education & Training:**

* Build relationships cross divisionally with Retail Operations and Regional Directors

* Lead initiatives to improve employee experience from Operational standpoint

* Create spirit of cross functional collaboration (within Retail BTQ Team but also with other departments, eg. Client Care, RSE, VM, DP, AP, IT, Digital)

* Be a leader and center of knowledge on all systems and process/policy/tech tools

* Consistently visit BTQs in the East Coast Region and conduct audits and trainings for all aspects of Retail Operations

* Communicate with each individual Director/Manager on consistent basis (Monthly/Bi-Weekly TBs)

* Active participation and involvement on our Home Office Operations Calls with Assistant Boutique Managers

* Execute BTQ openings and relocations, track off site requests and assess needs of each BTQ to help elevate and drive business as well as the internal client journey

* Track and communicate all BTQ Maintenance needs and Requests

* Track any specific Asset Protection and Repair & Maintenance challenges and partner with Asset Protection, Repair & Maintenance to resolve

* Partner with Group Director of Retail Operations to provide input on employee BOH needs directly impacting Employee Experience

**Position Logistics:**

This position is based in our NYC office, with up to 50% travel required.
