Job title: Sourcing Manager

Location: Ridgefield, CT

Duration: 12 Months

Duties:

  • Implement complex Category Strategy following TOM and develop it for corporate center led model (incl. Complex and/or high spend negotiation) and inform accordingly local Business Partners BPs.
  • Bring potential innovation to Client and local market intelligence.
  • Identify, evaluate and classify sourcing risks and devise risk mitigation measures.
  • Manage risk exposure.
  • Identify and evaluate existing and potential local suppliers as well as the establishment and maintenance of supplier relations.
  • Introduce innovation from external marketplace.
  • Use Business Review Meeting and KPI leverage to resolve potential issues at an early stage.
  • Manage local Business Partners actively and collaborate in order to align common goals.
  • Coordinate Business Partner Demands within Sourcing and ensure that relevant information is shared and Business Partner is supported adequately.
  • Optimize buying channels and leverage market opportunities.
  • Leverage sourcing tools (including e- or reverse-auction, parallel negotiation, etc.)
  • Maximize usage of Master Services Agreements (MSAs) or Frame Services Agreements (FSAs) as possible.
  • Oversees the Supplier performance management program for assigned categories
  • Oversees the Supplier diversity program for assigned categories.
  • Negotiates, reviews and executes contracts
  • Potentially lead and drive Regional Sourcing projects potentially.

Skills:

Requirements

  • (8+) years of experience in category management
  • Pharmaceutical industry knowledge a plus.
  • Marketing or Meetings & Events Expertise
  • Demonstrated efficiency in the following: Demand management; Market and supply analysis; Negotiation; Total cost of ownership, saving, and NPV; Project management; Delivering against commitments
  • Experience / background in the following; Contract management, supplier relationship management, RFP process, Negotiation and/or Contract Management
  • Solid experience with contract terms negotiation, issue spotting and risk evaluation
  • Procurement /category management expertise (preferably marketing services)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience in collaborating with internal and external resources to develop strategies that meet department goals within budget and established timeline.
  • Strong project management skills, ability to influence and bring teams to consensus and agreement

Education:

Master s Degree from an Accredited Institution. Areas may include; Science, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical, Business Administration or Bachelor s Degree with described work experience mentioned above.
