About

We're Castle, a profitable Series A startup on a mission to revolutionize trust and safety for users across large consumer platforms like Canva, Atlassian, and Rockstar Games. Backed by Y Combinator, Index Ventures, and prominent angel investors from Datadog, Stripe, and New Relic.

As a small team of 20, we're looking for an exceptional Solutions Architect who thrives in both pre-sales and post-sales roles, and can provide high-level technical support alongside our Customer Success lead. You will be a technical trailblazer and a skilled relationship builder, equally adept at showcasing our cutting-edge user security experiences to C-level executives or architecting innovative API flows with a customer's engineering team.

This hybrid role requires your presence two days a week at our Williamsburg, Brooklyn office. Your teammates are distributed across the US, Poland, Portugal, and Sweden.

Responsibilities

  • Own the entire sales/customer cycle, from presenting product demos and showcasing your understanding of customers' business challenges, to strategizing on onboarding, implementation priorities, and integration requirements post-sale
  • Build and maintain relationships with our customers' technical teams, becoming their trusted advisor and go-to resource for security best practices and Castle's products
  • Be hands-on with onboarding new customers and helping existing customers understand and adopt Castle's feature-rich products, tailoring your approach to each company's unique processes, technology stacks, and skill levels
  • Proactively identify complexities in customer environments that might create friction and develop creative plans to address them
  • Provide technical support to customers, troubleshooting issues and ensuring their success with Castle's products
  • Communicate valuable product feedback gained from working across diverse customer implementations to the Product teams, driving continuous improvement of the customer experience

Qualifications

  • A startup mindset flexibility, agility, and adaptability. We are passionate about limiting work-in-progress and deeply value work/life balance, but in this fast-paced startup environment, you'll be expected to pivot between pre-sales, post-sales, and support regularly
  • Several years of professional experience working with complex SaaS products in a solutions/sales engineering, developer evangelism, or solutions engineering role
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to gain audience confidence and buy-in
  • Ability to build a deep understanding of a customer's requirements and guide them to a technical solution
  • Willingness to provide top-tier technical support and troubleshoot customer issues, ensuring their success with our product that's driving word-of-mouth growth
