We are currently seeking several positions to join our Solar Team in Albany, New York; The Operations Manager will be a leader and coach in functional areas of sales, quality, efficiency, customer experience, and field teams. This position leads and oversees solar operations by analyzing and implementing business processes, to ensure efficiency. The Operations Manager oversees residential solar projects from commencement to completion and manages projects in a manner that exceeds our customers expectations and delivers every project on time and within budget.

Essential Functions:

  • Evaluates and manages team members, resources and processes to complete a high volume of residential and small commercial solar projects to client standards.
  • Develops, manages, and reports on key revenue and margin metrics.
  • Utilizes available data to optimize customer account targeting
  • Maintains a full understanding of all contractual obligations for all residential and commercial projects in varying areas.
  • Ensures alignment of sales to maximize the effectiveness of the sales force
  • Works cross-functionally to ensure successful execution of key projects and identify opportunities for ongoing process improvements
  • Reviews efficiencies and manages field team leaders to maintain customer communication and maximize field team effectiveness.
  • Identifies, documents, and implements opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Leads through a positive and hands on culture while mitigating issues that may arise in different stages of the design, permitting and installation process.
  • All other duties as assigned by manager.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of sales operations and management experience, within industry or similar preferred
  • Demonstrated aptitude for analytics with in-depth Excel knowledge
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards
  • Ability to exercise strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with customers, colleagues and/or suppliers
  • Ability to act as a flexible and innovative team player with a roll-up-the-sleeves attitude and a hands-on approach
  • Proficiency with CRMs
