About the Role:
TDA is partnered exclusively with a Tier 1 Investment Banking firm in New York and we're searching for a talented Engineering Manager to join their growing engineering team. In this critical role, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction of the team, while also diving in and contributing to the development process. You'll have the opportunity to lead a small, talented team of engineers, fostering collaboration and growth while tackling challenging technical problems.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to your team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment
- Participate in the design, development, and implementation of complex software solutions
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., product, design) to ensure technical feasibility and deliver high-quality products
- Stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and trends within the software engineering industry
- Identify opportunities to improve development processes and tools
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering with a proven track record of success
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and inspire a team
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience in leading small teams (2-5 engineers)
- Passion for building high-quality, scalable software solutions
- A problem-solving mindset with a strong focus on innovation and continuous improvement
