The Firm and Role

A sophisticated technology-driven quant trading firm which maintains a discrete online presence is looking to bring on an individual with capacity to tackle a number of data caching, ingestion and processing problems that are arising in their current Quant Research ecosystem.

The CTO wants this individual to pioneer the design and deployment of a bespoke distributed data and research platform to solve research bottlenecks, and ensure the automated models of ML scientists and researchers are squeaky clean.

They will have entire visibility over the model and see their solutions drive PnL. The datasets in question are more than hundreds of billions or rows, and upwards of tens to hundreds of TBs in size - significant for a sub-10 person team.

Required Skills/Experience

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar - ideally from top institution.
• 4+ years experience working as a Software Engineer on data-intensive platforms.
• Python expertise also ideal if not required.
• Knowledge and expertise in the Cloud.
